What are Gifts?
These are different from Talents and Skills. These are special abilities either inherited or created (accident, experimentation, etc) that you possess. For instance, the ability to read minds would be a Gift not a talent or skill. It is not something you can train for or teach yourself. Not everyone has gifts but for those of you who would like to play a character that is gifted you should keep a few things in mind. Gifts have limitations, you may be able to read minds but only if you are touching the person whose mind you want to read. They also have side effects so if you use your gifts there are consequences. For instance when you read someone's mind you get a mind splitting headache that can last for hours and your vision becomes blurry. Also keep in mind that your gifts may not always work and may not work on everyone. There will always be the possibility that someone is naturally immune to your gift or has in some way become immune through training, the use of technology, or drugs.

Gifts
The following should have limitations, consequences, and side effects e.g. you get headaches, nose bleeds, you black out, lose track of time, are overwhelmed by the voices in your head sometimes etc. Specifics need to be worked out with the staff, Be aware that your gifts, talents, and skills won’t always work or work on everyone.
Glamour: The ability to project a false appearance that fools the olfactory, auditory, and optical senses. However, it does not fool any electronic devices so pictures and videos will display your true appearance.
Basic – The ability to create an optical illusion that projects a false appearance.
Intermediate – You can create an optical illusion and either fool the auditory senses (change how your voice sounds), or the olfactory senses (change your scent)
Advanced – your illusion fools all three senses
Siren: Verbal hypnotism. The ability to use your voice to enthrall others.
Empath: The ability to feel what others are feeling and manipulate what others are feeling.
Basic – feel what others are feeling.
Advanced – manipulate what others feel.
Telepath: The ability to read the thoughts of others. (Slang term is a reader)
Basic – you can only gleam surface thoughts, things people are actively thinking or thinking “loudly”
Advanced – you can probe people’s thoughts, find things they are trying to hide, and extract information against their will
Telekinesis: you can move things with your mind.
Chameleon: you have an uncanny ability to blend in to any surrounding, you are more than just a master of disguise, you can mimic the accents, dialects, the way people move and act, the style of dress, you can be dropped in the middle of anywhere and appear like you have lived there all your life.
